Kamuiwa Ski Area is a city-owned winter sports ground on the outskirts of Rumoi, near Kamuiwa Park, that now runs without lifts. The city's snow groomer prepares part of the slope on weekends, holidays and school ski days, and it is used for early primary-school ski lessons, family practice, sledding and winter events. Its cross-country course is a training base for youth clubs and school teams, and it opens to the public, together with the lodge, on scheduled days. It is about ten minutes by car from Rumoi IC.
