Tokkinzan is a 901-metre mountain in the Sangun range that divides the Fukuoka plain from the Chikuhō basin, one of a chain of peaks running from Hōmanzan to Wakasugiyama. It is climbed from Ipponmatsu Park (Shōwa-no-Mori) in Umi. On the town's official route it is about 5 minutes from the P2 car park to the trailhead, 80 minutes to the summit, and 5 minutes on to the ridge junction, from which Sangunzan is 20 minutes and Hōmanzan 55 minutes away. A mountain castle stood on the summit in the Sengoku period, and a large cut ditch (horikiri) still remains.
