Ogidani is a 71 m height in Matsushima, Miyagi Prefecture. Standing behind Sokanzan, it takes its name from the way the inlets of Matsushima Bay appear from the summit like an opened fan. The top holds the remains of a Sendai lord’s tea pavilion and is known for its maples in autumn. It is 25 minutes on foot from Matsushimakaigan Station on the JR Senseki Line to the trail entrance and three minutes up the steps from there, but only a few cars can park.
