Nishi-Hane is a 1,095 m summit forming part of Haneyama (1,140 m) in Oita Prefecture. Haneyama is the mesa that symbolises Kusu Town, its lava-plateau top stretching 3 km east to west, with two stands of Miyama-kirishima azalea and views reaching Hachimensan, Yufudake, the Kuju range, Aso, Hikosan and, in the clearest weather, Fugendake. It lies in Yaba-Hita-Hikosan Quasi-National Park.
