Mt. Kameishiyama

A 942.5 m peak near the border between Amagase in Hita City, Oita Prefecture and Oguni in Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture. From the parking lot at Kameishi Pass the trail climbs about 140 m in roughly thirty minutes to a summit ringed by Miyama-Kirishima rhododendron and Dōdan-tsutsuji, with sweeping views east toward Mt Bannen and southwest toward Mt Aso. It is one of the Oita Hyakuzan.
