Mount Washizu is a 392 m peak in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the highest summit on the Numazu Alps traverse that links Kanuki, Yokoyama, Tokugura, Shishimo, Ko-Washizu, Washizu and Taihei mountains. Despite its modest height, the ridge offers chains, rocky pinnacles and steep climbs, with sweeping views of Suruga Bay, Mount Fuji, the Ashitaka and South Alps mountains and the Amagi Range. Numazu City publishes the official "Numazu Hiking Map" with AR trail previews. The peak appears in many lists including New Japan 100 Mountains, the Japan 100 Low Mountains, Top 100 Famous Mountains of the Kantō area, and the Numazu Alps list.
