Mt. Shinobu

Mt. Shinobu is a 267-meter sato-yama rising in the center of Fukushima City. Composed of three peaks—Kumano, Haguro, and Hayama—it has long been revered as a sacred mountain of the Fukushima Basin. Shinobuyama Park, on its slopes, is planted with around 2,000 cherry trees and features five observation decks overlooking the city and surrounding ranges. It is featured in the "100 Famous Mountains of Utsukushima (Fukushima)", "New 100 Famous Mountains of Utsukushima", and "Japan's 100 Famous Low Mountains" guides.
