Kinugasayama is a 432.7 m peak straddling Higashiomi and Omihachiman cities in Shiga Prefecture, also called Kannonji-yama. Atop its ridge stand the ruins of Kannonji Castle (one of Japan's Top 100 Castles), the medieval seat of the Sasaki-Rokkaku clan, and Kannon-shōji, the 32nd temple of the Saigoku Pilgrimage. The peak adjoins Azuchi-yama, the site of Oda Nobunaga's Azuchi Castle, and lies on the Higashiomi Trail that traverses from Notogawa Station via Inokoyama to Azuchi Station. It is featured in the Ōmi Hyakuzan and Shiga prefectural hiking guides.
