Tarōbōyama (Akagamiyama) is a 350 m rocky peak in Higashiōmi, Shiga. Long revered as a "mountain of the gods" and a Shugendō sacred peak, its slope holds Tarōbō-gū (Aga Shrine), known as a deity of victory. It is famed for its main hall set against a cliff and the "Meoto-iwa" rocks said to crush the ill-intentioned. It appears in the "Mountains of Shiga (Prefectural Hiking Guide)" and the "100 Mountains of Ōmi."
