Mount Futatabisan (470 m) rises in central Chuo Ward of Kobe within the south-western Rokko Mountains and Setonaikai National Park. The name commemorates the monk Kūkai, who is said to have made repeated pilgrimages to Daiyū-ji temple on its flank. Known locally as Kobe-Fuji for its conical shape, the peak is designated, with the adjoining Futatabi Park, as a National Place of Scenic Beauty. The municipal KOBE Sun-and-Greenery Path Course No. 15 "Futatabi Pass" crosses the mountain, and it appears on the Furusato Hyogo 100 and Furusato Fuji 100 lists.
