Mount Ōmine

Mount Ōmine, locally known as Saeki-Fuji, rises to about 1,050 m on the boundary between the Saeki Ward of Hiroshima City and Hatsukaichi City, making it the highest point within Hiroshima City limits. The summit is crowned by huge granite slabs called Rokujō-iwa and Hachijō-iwa and a vertiginous cleft between two boulders named the Mawari-en, from which 360-degree views reach across the Seto Inland Sea as far as Mount Ishizuchi in Shikoku. It is listed on the Hiroshima 100 and Chūgoku 100 mountains.
