Oishiyama stands on the ridge from Yushin via Dokaku no Atama to the Ishidana ridge. The ascent from Yushin is steep, and the ridge beyond has repeated climbs and descents on narrow, loose footing. As of October 2026, the Dokaku ridge trail from Yushin to Dokaku Junction is closed pending safety checks.
