Yushin Lodge

Building at about 740m in the Yushin valley on the upper Genkura river, within Tanzawa-Oyama Quasi-National Park, in Genkura, Yamakita Town, Ashigarakami District, Kanagawa Prefecture. It lies up the Genkura forest road, which follows the river from Genkura on the shore of Lake Tanzawa, in a gorge known for the blue water called Yushin Blue. Private vehicles may not use the forest road, so visitors walk in from the free car park near the Genkura bus stop. Kanagawa Prefecture's trail information lists all three approaches to Yushin as closed for the time being: the Yadoriki-Yushin line (Yadoriki to Ameyama pass to Ameyama bridge), the Dokaku ridge line (Yushin to the Dokaku junction) and the Yushin-Tonodake line (Tonodake to Sonbutsu-no-dohira); the public toilet at the Yushin park area is also shut. No official source could be found describing this building's manager, conditions of use or operating status, and it does not appear on the list of shelters and rest houses managed by the Kanagawa Prefectural Natural Environment Conservation Center.
