Mount Eboshi

Mount Eboshi is a 719.6-meter peak in the Kamikita district of Aomori Prefecture, marking the border of three municipalities: Hiranai, Noheji, and Tohoku. Its gentle slopes are covered with old-growth forest more than a century old, and the summit affords 360-degree views across Mutsu Bay to the Shimokita Peninsula and Hokkaido, south to the Hakkōda range, east to the Pacific, and west to Mount Iwaki. The peak was the disputed boundary between the Nanbu and Tsugaru domains in the Edo era, triggering the Hiyama Disturbance. It is counted among the Aomori 110 Peaks.
