Mount Chinzei

Chinzeizan is a 198 m mountain in Kamimine, Saga Prefecture. Its slopes form the prefecturally designated environmental conservation forest "Chinzeizan (Chinzeizan Ikoi-no-Mori)", 37.7 ha in area, with promenades and an athletic ground, and are known for autumn colour. The summit overlooks the Saga Plain, Yoshinogari archaeological site and Mount Unzen. Castle remains around the summit include earthworks and lateral moats, and a legend attributes the castle to Minamoto no Tametomo.
