Lodge at Tengudaira on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, at 2,300m, directly in front of the Tengudaira stop on the Tateyama Kogen bus — step off the bus and you are there. It has 16 Japanese-Western rooms for two to five people, all let as private rooms by advance booking only; telephone reservations are not taken, so guests book through reservation sites, email or the enquiry form. There are two bathrooms, one each for men and women (not a hot spring), three washlet toilets, a drying room and paid Wi-Fi. After breakfast the lodge drives guests to the Murodo terminal. The season runs from mid-April to late October in step with the opening and closing of the Alpine Route. The surroundings give a 360-degree outlook, and the lodge serves trekkers, skiers and climbers.
