Hot-spring lodge at Raichozawa on the Murodo plateau. About 40 minutes on foot from Murodo Station, the terminus of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, along a walking path past Mikurigaike pond and the Jigokudani steam vents, so it can be reached without climbing gear. The four-storey concrete building has Japanese- and Western-style private rooms as well as shared rooms. An outdoor bath of milky water is fed straight from the Jigokudani source, and the separate men's and women's indoor baths are open 24 hours. The large bath looks out on Oyama, Onanjiyama, Masagodake and Betsuzan.
