A hut at about 1,320m beside the forest road of the Migimata route, which runs from Shinhotaka (1,091m) toward Okuhotakadake at the Gifu-side entrance to the Northern Alps. It is the first building climbers pass on their way into the Yari and Hotaka mountains, and its quiet character — in contrast to the bustle of the ridge huts — is what draws people. In principle it is room-only, but with a reservation the keepers will cook a plain home-made meal. It sleeps thirty and has pitches for ten tents. The season runs from late July to the end of August, and then weekends only from September into early October; outside those dates the hut stays open as an emergency shelter, for genuine emergencies alone. It lies within the Chubu-Sangaku National Park and appears in the Ministry of the Environment's national inventory of mountain huts.
