This route climbs from Yufudake Main Trailhead through open grassland and forest to Aigoe and Matae, reaches Mount Yufu’s higher west peak, then follows the crater rim to the east peak before returning. Chains, exposed rock, and difficult footing around Shōjido and the rim traverse make the two-summit circuit suitable for experienced hikers.
