This loop starts at the Sky Terrace parking area on the Ibukiyama Driveway, ascends the West Trail to 1,377 m Mount Ibuki, and returns by the Central Trail. The West Trail is a gentler route of about 1 km with seasonal flowers and views of Lake Biwa. The Central Trail is shorter at about 500 m, but has steep stairs and exposed limestone near the summit.
