Open 1977–2005
Tenpoku was a small ski hill about 8 km south of the centre of former Utanobori town, now part of Esashi in northern Hokkaido, inside the Utanobori health resort with its hot-spring hotel and golf course. It opened in 1977 with a single lift of about 800 m and gentle to intermediate runs up to about 900 m long, over roughly 160 m of vertical. It closed in 2005; the lift and buildings have been removed and trees are growing on parts of the old slope, while the hot-spring hotel and golf course remain.
