Ringo Kyowakoku is a small, friendly ski area in Takano, an apple-growing district of Shobara in northern Hiroshima, just two minutes by car from the Takano exit of the Chugoku Yamanami Kaido expressway. Three gentle beginner-to-intermediate runs make it popular with families and first-timers, and a snow park area offers sledging, tubing and snow-hut building. A local school teaches junior skiing and moguls. It opens to the public only on weekends and holidays; on weekdays the slope can be hired privately by reservation. A glamping site with pentagon-shaped cabins sits next door.
