Ibi Kogen Ski Area Closed
Official name 揖斐高原スキー場
Gifu
Closed in 2020
Ibi Kogen Ski Area lay at the foot of Mt. Kaizuki in Hisaka, Ibigawa, Gifu, and was run by the Ibigawa foundation. Spread over the Kaizuki, Hisaka and Sakauchi sections, it was the largest ski area in western Mino, with runs that started steep and widened into gentle slopes lower down. Sakauchi's lifts were removed and only Hisaka ran in later years; after repeated snow shortages the operator left skiing after the 2019-20 season. The camp site and the Tochinomi-so lodge still operate, and the Kaizuki slope is kept for sledding.
