Zenmondake

門前岳

Zenmondake is a 922 m peak in the former Yabe village area of Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and one of the eight peaks selected by the city as the Yabe Hachimeizan. Its name is said to mean the "front gate" of Gozendake, Hyuga-jinja, Yametsuhime-jinja, or the residence of Prince Yoshinari. Reached via Route 442 just before Sasamata Bridge, the trail follows a scenic ravine before a steep final climb to a summit known for sweeping views and late-July groves of kitsune-no-kamisori (Lycoris sanguinea).
