Tezutsuyama is a 171 m hill in Tsuruga City, Fukui, designated by the Forestry Agency's Kinki-Chugoku Regional Forest Office as the Tezutsuyama Scenic Forest. Its summit observation deck looks west over the city, Tsuruga Bay, the Tsuruga Peninsula, the Kehi-no-Matsubara pine grove and Nosakadake (913 m), the city's highest peak, and the summit area has a rest house, arbour and toilets. Cherry blossom in spring and autumn colour are the draws, and the nearby ruins of Kanegasaki Castle mark where Nitta Yoshisada made his last stand against Ashikaga Takauji's forces.
