Mt. Takazuya
高鳥谷山
Ina, Nagano / Komagane, Nagano · Elevation 1,331 m
Mt. Takazuya (1,331 m) is a satoyama on the border between Ina and Komagane cities in southern Nagano Prefecture, rising opposite the Central Alps across the Ina Valley. The summit opens to a panorama of the Southern Alps to the east, the Central Alps to the west, and the Northern Alps in the distance on clear days, with the Tenryū River and the distinctive river-terrace landscape of the Ina Valley spread below. Trails climb from behind Takatoriya Shrine (founded in the Bunmei era and rebuilt in 1829) in the Higashi-Ina district of Komagane, and from behind Takazuya Spa on the Ina side; a small emergency hut stands at the top and the Takazuya Skyline road climbs nearly to the summit.
