Mt. Sengenyama

千軒山

A 772 m peak rising directly behind the village of Manba in Kanna Town, Tano District, Gunma Prefecture. Listed in the "Nishi-Jōshū Mountains 120" and "Gunma 300 Mountains" guides, its summit preserves the earthworks of the medieval Senken-yama Castle, ringed by three concentric dry moats and locally called "Ichiya-ga-jō" (One-Night Castle) after a legend that its lord died the morning after the castle was completed.
