A 293 m hill in Sekigahara Town, Fuwa District, Gifu Prefecture. Famous as the site where Kobayakawa Hideaki deployed his 15,000 troops during the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 and switched sides to the Tōgun, deciding the outcome. The summit, a town-designated historic site, retains the ruins of Matsuoyama Castle with seven enclosures, dry moats and earthworks, and commands a sweeping view of the Sekigahara battlefield. Listed in Suzuka 300 and 'Gifu no Yamatabi (Vol. 1)'.
