Mt. Ioujiyama

Iōji-yama is a roughly 120 m hill in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture, also called Iōji Castle. It is known as the site where Takeda Katsuyori set up his headquarters during the 1575 Battle of Nagashino; a mock-keep observation tower now stands on the fort ruins at its summit, overlooking the Nagashino castle site. The Iōji temple at its foot is a Sōtō Zen temple. It appears in the guide "The Ultra-Low Mountains of Mikawa and Enshū."
