Mt. Haigatayama

Haigatayama is a 619-meter peak in Arima-cho, Kita Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, forming part of the Rokko mountain range. Together with Ochibayama and Yubunedaniyama, it makes up the so-called Arima Sanzan (Three Mountains of Arima) on the ridge west of Arima Onsen. Its name reportedly derives from a legend that the tea master Sen no Rikyu, while holding a tea ceremony at Arima, shaped the hearth ashes to resemble this mountain. The peak is included in the 'Osaka-shuhen no Yama 250' list.
