Gorogoro-dake is a 565.3 m peak on the boundary of Ashiya and Nishinomiya in Hyōgo Prefecture, forming part of the eastern Rokkō Range. It is said to be the only mountain in Japan whose name is taken directly from its elevation — "go-ro-go-ro" being a numerical pun on 5-6-5 — alongside legends of tumbling rocks or rumbling thunder (gorogoro). When Setonaikai National Park's Rokkō district was established in 1956, it was officially renamed from Kaminari-ga-take to Gorogoro-dake. The summit is reached from Ashiya-gawa, Tsurugi-dani, Kuraku-en or Rokurokuso trailheads via maintained city trails.
