Mount Umatate (797 m) rises in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and is a peak on the Otsuki traverse that starts at Tanokura Station on the Fujikyū Railway and continues over Mount Gozen and Mount Kagura before descending to Saruhashi Station. The route includes lookout crags at Sawai-sawa-no-Kashira and Hachigorō-kudore, and the neighbouring Mount Gozen is the tenth peak of Otsuki's Twelve Splendid Views of Mount Fuji.
