Mount Takekurabe

Mount Takekurabe is a 1,045-metre twin-summit peak straddling the Maruoka district of Sakai City and Ōno City in Fukui Prefecture, named for the way its north peak (964.3 m) and south peak (1,045 m) appear to measure heights against one another. The south summit is crowned by a small Hakusan-Daigongen sanctuary established in 1752, and the mountain has long been part of the Hakusan faith. It is commonly walked along the ridge with neighbouring Jōhōji-yama (1,052.8 m) and Kanmuri-dake, and is included in the Fukui Prefecture Bunken Guide.
