Mount Shugakuin is a 340 m hill at the western foot of Mount Hiei in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. It lies east of Shugakuin Imperial Villa, near the paths ascending Mount Hiei via Kirarazaka. A round-trip route leads from Shugakuin Station via the mountain toward Cable Hiei Station.
