Mount Nihonkoba is a 934-metre peak in the inland Eigenji district of Higashiōmi City, Shiga Prefecture, lying within Suzuka Quasi-National Park along the western foot of the Suzuka Range. Its trails wind through a varied landscape of streams, rocky outcrops, and small wetlands, and the mountain is known for legends surrounding both its unusual name and the caverns concealed in its slopes. Designated as one of the Suzuka 10 by Higashiōmi City, it is served by the Suzuka 10 Peaks Visitor Center at Michi-no-eki Oku-Eigenji and is reached from the Tatehata, Hiruya, and Mandokoro trailheads.
