Mount Mitsuishi is a 282-metre peak in the Bōsō Hills at Kusakawara in Kimitsu City, Chiba Prefecture. Three striking boulders at the summit give the mountain its name and shelter Mitsuishi-san Kan'non-ji, a temple traditionally said to have been opened in 1409. Long revered for sea-faring safety and matchmaking, the temple still draws fishing communities and pilgrims. The summit is approached on a paved forest road or by the Mitsuishi Trail running along the ridge from Motokiyosumi-yama, and the mountain is listed in the Chiba Prefecture Bunken Guide, the Japan 100 Sacred Mountains, and the Bōsō 110 mountain selection.
