Mount Kannokura

Mount Kannokura is a 561-meter peak straddling Akitakata City and Hiroshima City's Asakita Ward in Hiroshima Prefecture, part of the Chugoku mountain range. Famous for its spring cherry blossoms, azaleas, and wisteria, and for autumn-to-winter sea-of-clouds views, the summit is also used as a hang-gliding and paragliding launch site. A privately maintained "Kannokura-yama Park" has been developed since the 1950s, and the mountain is featured in the Mountains of Hiroshima Prefecture hiking guide.
