Mount Hyakuri

百里ヶ岳

Mount Hyakuri rises to 931.3 m on the border between Obama in Fukui Prefecture and Takashima in Shiga Prefecture, on the Central Watershed that once divided the old provinces of Ōmi and Wakasa. The summit holds a first-order triangulation point and is the highest peak in Obama, with broad primeval beech forest along the ridge that shelters Japanese serow and golden eagles. The mountain is a key peak on the Takashima Trail and is counted among the Kansai 100 Famous Mountains and Kinki 100 Famous Mountains.
