Kunimidake

Kunimidake is a 1,347 m summit of Unzen volcano on Nagasaki Prefecture’s Shimabara Peninsula, near Fugendake (1,359 m) and Myokendake (1,333 m). In central Unzen-Amakusa National Park, a prominent Kyushu hiking circuit takes the ropeway from Nita Pass to Myokendake and continues via Kunimidake and Fugendake. Rocky ridges and chain sections offer close views of the Heisei Shinzan lava dome.
