An unmanned emergency shelter near the summit of Kumanodake, the highest peak in the Zao range, north of the Umanose caldera. It lies where routes connect Kattadake and Umanose, the Zao Ropeway's Jizo summit station, and Nakamaruyama and Bodaira. It is for emergencies such as volcanic activity or sudden severe weather and cannot be used for ordinary overnight stays.
