御田の神避難小屋

1,542 m · Yamagata · 1.6 km from the summit of Kattadake

A small unmanned shelter owned by Kaminoyama City near the eastern edge of the Otanokami wetland in Zao Quasi-National Park. In the snow-free season it is reached along the wetland path from the Katta parking area on the Zao Echo Line; in winter it lies on the snow route from Zao Liza World. The concrete-block building is kept unlocked for hikers' emergency refuge, including during volcanic events.
