Hut at 2,768m on the northern side of Norikuradake, above the Daisekkei snowfield. The highest summit, Kengamine, is about an hour away. It is a 50-minute walk on an easy path from Tatamidaira, Japan's highest bus terminal, or a 30-minute climb up a rocky trail from the Katanokoyaguchi bus stop. On clear days there is sunrise in the morning and a sky full of stars at night. A dining room and shop are open. There is no bath, and the hut warns visitors about altitude sickness at this elevation.
