大門沢小屋

Mountain hut at 1,765m in Daimonzawa, Minami Alps National Park, in Narada, Hayakawa Town, Minamikoma District, Yamanashi Prefecture. It sits quietly in deep forest, yet Mt. Fuji stands directly in view. Reached from the Narada trailhead, it serves as a starting point for traverses of the Southern Alps toward Notoridake, Ainodake, Kitadake and Sasayama. Water is plentiful, so the hut has hot showers, and a designated camping area for about 40 tents adjoins it. It opens from 1 July to mid-October, holds 100 guests, and takes bookings online or by telephone. Meals such as chikara ramen and chuka-don are served, along with original wine, tenugui cloths and other souvenirs. The Narada hot spring, known as Nanafushigi-no-yu, lies close by and makes a good stop after the descent.
