This main-ridge traverse climbs from the Nishi-Tanzawa Visitor Center to Mount Hinokiboramaru, then links Mount Hirugatake, Mount Tanzawa and Mount Tonodake before descending to Okura. The demanding route covers about 21 kilometres of repeated climbs and descents, crossing Kanagawa's highest summit and a varied ridge of beech forest, rocky ground and bamboo grass with broad mountain views.
