This circuit climbs on foot from Minokoshi to Nishijima, follows the ridge route to the 1,955-metre summit of Mount Tsurugi, and descends by the Otsurugi Shrine route before returning to Minokoshi. The broad bamboo-grass summit overlooks the celebrated ridge toward Jirogyu, while the descent passes Otsurugi Shrine beneath its immense sacred rock.
