From the Nakoro trailhead in Miyoshi, Tokushima, this return climbs through forest to Dakemomi Hill, named for its Veitch's silver firs, and on to the 1,894 m summit of Mount Miune on the Kochi border. Above the trees the route crosses bamboo-grass slopes to a pond near the Miune hut that stays full even in summer, and the summit overlooks the ridges running toward Tengutsuka and Mount Tsurugi.
