This North Yatsugatake loop from Ogawara Pass climbs Mount Tateshina (2,531 m), then circles via Kikko Pond, Futago Ponds and Mount Futago. A rocky steep ascent from Tateshina Sanso reaches the summit; the return crosses Tenshoji-hara and mossy old-growth forest before passing Futagoike Hutte and open Mount Futago.
