This loop starts at the North Yatsugatake Ropeway summit station, passes Shimagare Sanso and Amaike Pass, visits Mount Shimagare and Mount Chausu, and returns via Gotsuji. It crosses characteristic North Yatsugatake scenery including the Tsuboniwa lava plateau, mossy forest, and the striped forest-dieback landscape of Mount Shimagare.
