This short return starts from the trailhead on the UFO Line, a mountain road running along the ridge at 1,300 to 1,700 m, climbs bamboo-grass slopes to the crest and reaches the 1,756 m summit of Iyo-Fuji, one of Japan's 300 famous mountains in the Ishizuchi range. The grassy ridge is open all round, looking to Higashi-Kuromori, Kamegamori, the city of Saijo and the Seto Inland Sea.
