This South Yatsugatake circuit runs from Kannon-daira via Oshutekawa, Mount Amigasa, Seinen Hut, Giboshi, Mount Gongen, and Mount Mitsugashira. The 2,524 m summit of Mount Amigasa looks towards Mount Aka, Mount Amida, and Mount Gongen; beyond Seinen Hut, the route to Mount Gongen follows a scenic rocky ridge. Around Giboshi there are chains and narrow sloping traverses, and the descent from Mount Gongen via Mount Mitsugashira also demands careful attention to fall hazards.
